Video Recruitment

There has been allot of rumblings in the market about how video could be big news for the recruitment industry, the talking CV as the new way to make yourself stand out, as well as a new way for employers to attract talent. The latest to pop up is from Yale, one of America’s top universities which provide us with a rather unique ‘High School Musical/Glee club” approach to attracting top students to their school:

 

This may work well for some of the younger teen generations, but would It work in a professional setting, could big corporations attract top talent using a similar tactic. Google made a recruitment video in 2005 with clear attempt to attract female talent to the business.

 

Do these recruitment videos work for you? Or are just turned off by the cheese factor? Would you be prepared to make a video selling yourself in order to apply for a job?
